Going Out in a Blaze of Glory

Autumn has (at last) come to Fort Worth.  Cooler days, longer nights - I love this time of year.  The Morning Glories ("Papa Ott" variety) in my garden seem to 'know' that their growing season is coming to an end.

In early September I had blooms like this.

A volunteer wandering through the flower bed.

First Saturday in October.

It amazes me how many more blooms there are when the temperatures come down to a reasonable 82F and we get a little rain.

Hope your week is colorful.

They are stunning Joy.
There is a real chill in the air here this morning, it's crisp and clear :-)
John tells me the Cowboys are in first place, Mr. J&C has nothing to complain about. He should support a real crap team like the Redskins :-)

Fabulous! There's maybe a metaphor there for us! Glad you have it a bit cooler - says she whose summer temperatures are about what you've got there now - it's 44 here just now and set to rise to 53 but the sun is shining and I'm off for a walk in the countryside.

A fabulous variety of morning glory, a beautiful vine!
Glad you are getting reasonable temps. Here it is a bit coolish, with woodsmoke in the air at night from fireplaces.
