Is this Normal?

Even I can see that having the carpets cleaned is a good thing. However, I've spent the last few days racing through the house cleaning, picking up, storing, stashing, actually throwing away stuff, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping... and there's still lots more sweeping to be done. I'm exhausted.

I've come to the conclusion that if I should ever have a maid it might be hazardous to my health.  I would probably knock myself out cleaning before she got here to do her job. Oh, the horror of someone finding soap scum in the bathtub, beds not made, or (how can I say this?!) trash in my trash cans....

Then again, should I ever be so fortunate as to have someone to clean up after me, I think I could adjust.

Having my carpets cleaned Sat., just downstairs which is where I plan to do hardwoods later this year - so tired of cleaning up spots!!!

I feel exactly the same way about maid service - would be worn to a frazzle preparing for the cleaner, lol!!!

My mother in law has a cleaning lady come in on Tuesdays. She spends Mondays cleaning the house to get it ready for her. I guess she really does feels the horror you write about. (I can write this because she's not computer literate, too busy cleaning the house).

My mom always said it was more work to have a maid than not. I think I agree ... it seems you do too!! Have a fabulous Mother's Day, my friend! :)
